The Faculty of Computer Sciences and Information Technology at the University of South Asia is expanding its academic programs to meet the growing demands of the technology sector. As a faculty member, you will teach core and elective courses, design modern coursework, supervise student projects, and conduct research that enhances the university's academic standing.
You will play a crucial role in delivering outcome-based education, maintaining accreditation standards set by the Higher Education Commission, and equipping students with industry-relevant technical competencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate computing courses in line with approved curriculum and outcome-based education standards
- Design course outlines, deliver lectures, create assessments, and provide timely academic feedback to students
- Supervise student capstone projects, research theses, and provide academic counseling and career mentorship
- Conduct research, publish papers in recognized journals and conferences, and contribute to the faculty research ecosystem
- Participate in curriculum revision, accreditation documentation, and quality assurance processes as required by the HEC
Requirements
- Master’s/PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Data Science, AI, or closely related discipline meeting HEC requirements
- Teaching and research experience aligned with HEC criteria for the faculty rank applied for
- Ability to work full-time on-site at the Lahore campus

What Success Looks Like
- Maintain consistently positive student evaluation scores across all assigned courses each semester
- Ensure complete and on-time submission of course files, internal assessments, and final examination results
- Publish quality research output and guide student projects to recognized standards expected for your rank
- Serve as a reliable and collaborative contributor to accreditation and departmental administrative activities
Requirements
Experience We Are Looking For
Master’s/PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Data Science, AI, or a closely related discipline meeting HEC criteria
Demonstrated teaching and research experience appropriate for the relevant faculty rank under HEC guidelines
Strong mastery of modern computing methodologies, software development concepts, and core technical subjects
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills for effective classroom instruction and scholarly publishing
Proven ability to assess student work fairly, mentor project candidates, and uphold strict academic integrity
