About the Role
American National School in Lahore is hiring a History Teacher for Grades 6–8 to deliver engaging lessons and develop AI-enhanced subject curricula. You will bring Pakistani and world history to life while utilizing AI content tools and Learning Management Systems to convert coursework into MAYA modules. This is a full-time, on-site academic position offering strong professional growth in tech-enabled education.
History at Grades 6–8 is where students move from simply receiving information to thinking critically for themselves. As our History Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the approved school curriculum, using primary sources, maps, discussion, and local historical context in Lahore.
You will work closely with academic leadership to ensure a seamless, tech-enabled learning experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver History lessons for Grades 6–8 using engaging teaching methods and primary sources
- Develop and update subject curricula and syllabi using AI-assisted content generation tools
- Convert educational content into MAYA courses and digital Learning Management System modules
- Review, evaluate, and quality-check course modules to ensure high accuracy and zero errors
- Set, mark, and evaluate student assessments while maintaining complete academic records
- Maintain a positive classroom environment and keep parents informed on student progress
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in History, Pakistan Studies, Education, or a relevant discipline
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of teaching or curriculum development experience
- Demonstrated proficiency with Learning Management Systems and AI content tools
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Urdu
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Lahore

- AI tools and LMS features are fully integrated into daily curriculum planning and execution
Requirements
Experience We Are Looking For
At least 2 to 3 years of experience in middle-school classroom teaching or curriculum development
Bachelor's degree in History, Pakistan Studies, Education, or a related subject discipline
Demonstrated proficiency with AI-assisted content generation tools and Learning Management Systems
Strong capability in developing subject syllabi and converting content into structured course modules
Excellent communication and classroom management skills in both English and Urdu
Teaching qualification such as a B.Ed or equivalent training preferred
